Hey well.. Ive always been intrested in Photography and im wanting to get into it more. Im looking around for a camera. Im not so sure on what kind or brand name to go for so.. can someone help me out a bit???? please!

Aurelia - thats really a "how long is a piece of string" type of question - the first thing you need to work out is what type of camera you want - that is determined by what type of pictures you want to take and how much money you want to spend - the variety of cameras and options is enormous so its sort of impossible to answer
sometimes the best thing is make a list of the times when you think you would need a camera and particularly what sort of things you would take pictures how far away they are likely to be what sort of lighting conditions you might have when you are taking pictures - day / night - friends pets - landscapes - wildlife - your likely usage will narrow down your options - digital SLR, advanced digicam or a point and shoot.
once you have done that then got to somewhere like dpreview and look at camera reviews and visit their forums they often discuss the ins and out of particular cameras.

| Thats the thing. Im not sure yet. I wanna take pictures of people - flowers etc I wanna expirment and see what area I wanna concentreate on. I know most of it I want it to be black and white. I want a simple camera to work with first and work my way up sonce I know for sure what type I wanna focus on.

An entry level digital SLR will give you the most room to grow (eg add lenses) and provide you with the opportunity to explore creative photography more than a digicam (which is the feeling i am getting from your post) and grow as a photographer by expanding and adding lenses and other things like flashes and filters - examples might include - Nikon D50, Canon EOS 350D, Pentax K100D *ist DL2 - Olympus E-330 Olympus E-500 - there is probably no stand out among them - quite often it is best to see how they feel for you - how big, how much they weigh where the buttons are , which particular features you think you may use (you may not really know yet) - go to your camera store and try them out find out what suits you - i find cameras very personal
if they are beyond your budget there some very excellent digicams panasonic, olympus, canon nikon all make pretty good advanced digicams 6-8 MP is more than ample good room to grow creatively as they often have a zoom which goes from wide to long with a flash - its often really hard to suggest specific ones because the market is continuously updating -
unfortunately there is no easy answer but have a look at http://www.photography-gallery.com see what sort of shots are being taken ask people how they did it what gear they used might give you some additional help - often real examples often can provide a lot of information
