I'm preparing to enter the interior photography market.  Just kitchen and bath remodeling, so this means the room can be an expansive kitchen or a tiny powder room.

Do I really need to go as low as 16mm ultra-wide angle?  I know that if I put Canon's 16-35mm on my digital Canon EOS, it will act like a 25mm and only give me about 75°+ .  Is this enough?

I'm looking for an adequate lense at a GOOD price.  Doesn't have to be Canon brand.

Thanks in advance!!

i think many interior shooters don't go that wide (in 35mm terms) - 18-20 the wide the more distortion you will get

a prime lens is ideal from a quality perspective but given that you will often be shooting in places with varying dimensions and sometimes limited space you should consider a wide angle zoom there are some great quality lenses from sigma, tamron and tokina which may fit the bill - i have done much research on these lately so i can't advise on specific lenses maybe some equipment specific photo forums may help

the other thing to consider is the use of stitching software to and good quality tripod heads which allow you to take panorama shots more easily
