i've only been into photography for a short term now and have some really great prints. even had a friend tell me she would buy one form me. but first i would like to copyright my work.
how do i go about doing that?

Your photographs are yours and you already own copyright.If anyone uses your work without your permission you can challenge them legally as long as you have the original work.An idea would be to get stickers made and attach to work that you sell.

| thisle is right. All you have to do is indicate that your work is copyritten. I had the same question when starting my own photography website. I wanted to display my photographs in high enough quality so customers could see them well, but I didnt want people to right click and copy my work. to stop people right clicking and copying you can use a HTML code toblock the use of right click on your page, when they right click a window will pop up with a message of your choice, eg "Images on this website are copyrighted to rob hemsley 2008"
search on google for "HTML block right click"

Unfortunately most of the time it is very easy to get around a right click protected website. Watermark your images is a good way, but it is distracting to the viewer.
